Speech Therapy Assistant / Communication Disorder Assistant

Position Summary

We're looking for a creative, energetic and outgoing Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or Communications Disorder Assistant (CDA) to join our team. Under the supervision of our Speech Language Pathologist(s), the successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a range of therapy services in a community-based setting. This includes providing services in our client’s homes, private schools, therapeutic recreation settings and other community locales.

 Qualifications

We are seeking a self-directed, team player with ability to communicate effectively. The successful speech therapist will have:

• MUST have successfully completed a Speech Language Pathology Assistant or Communication Disorder Assistant Program
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• experience working with school age children
• knowledge of augmentative communication systems beneficial
• the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• a valid BC driver's license and use of personal vehicle
