I Know Me Best: Self Regulation for your child

  • Community Living Victoria 3861 Cedar Hill Cross Road Victoria, BC, V8P 2M7 Canada (map)

At this workshop parents and guardians will learn how to equip their child with the skills and strategies of self-regulation.

Self-regulation is the ability to notice our thoughts, feelings, and behaviour so that we can plan and act in ways that meet our goals.

The focus of "I Know Me Best" is to introduce self-regulatory skills to your child so that they can identify how to overcome challenges and thrive in community.

"I Know Me Best" is a pilot program being offered to your child in CLV Youth Services. This program teaches youth (8 - 18 years old) self-regulation skills in activity-based sessions. You child is participating in I Know Me Best sessions, which are included in our regular programming within the services you currently access at CLV.

Amanda Baker, OT, will facilitate this engaging workshop that offers strategies and techniques for self-regulation so that you can apply and teach your child.

There will be snacks and beverages provided, which will give you a chance to connect and share your thoughts.
